On Tuesday, Midtown steakhouse Davio's Manhattan hosts guest sommelier Andrea Pace of Ceretto Wines for a special tasting menu. The prix-fixe dinner, which includes dishes like a 28 day dry-aged New York Strip, scallop & fluke crudo and antipasti, costs $99-per-person, and is paired with wine. You can also purchase an a la carte selection of Ceretto's wines, with prices ranging from $12 to $120 (!) a glass; the dinner starts at 6:30 p.m., and you can make a reservation through the restaurant.

Head to Jimmy's No. 43 in the East Village on Wednesday for a talk with Margaret Gray, author of Labor and the Locavore: The Making of a Comprehensive Food Ethic. Gray will speak with food justice experts about the politics and ethics behind farming, eating and cooking local food. The event, which runs from 7 to 9 p.m., is free to attend, and you can get drinks and dishes from the restaurant as usual.

On Thursday, Grand St. Settlement is hosting the annual Taste of the Lower East Side, boasting dishes and beverages from local eateries all over the neighborhood. Participating restaurants include Beauty and Essex, Northern Spy Food Co., Pig & Khao and Prohibition Bakery. And though tickets are pricy—$195 for general admission, $320 for a pair—funds raised at the event will benefit Grand St. Settlement's community programs. And on Friday, Brooklyn Brewery co-founder Steve Hindy heads to the New York Public Library's Stephen A. Schwarzman Building in Midtown for a talk with New Belgium Brewing Company CEO Kim Jordan, and founder of the American Homebrewers Association Charlie Papazia. The craft beer experts will discuss how the art of brewing's made an impact on how the rest of the world consumes and enjoys a stiff one. The event starts at 7 p.m. and costs $25 to attend; you can purchase a ticket through the NYPL's website.
