A baby anteater was born at the Staten Island Zoo last month, and it, along with its lolling pink baby anteater tongue, is the most endearing event to have occurred on Staten Island since that bangin' Vanilla Ice dance party.

The new addition to the SI Zoo family is named "MJ," probably either for Michael Jordan or Michael Jackson or Mr. Jones, not the overrated Counting Crows song but the elderly janitor always cleaning vomit out of the Kids Korral. MJ, who was born on January 12, is a southern tamandua, which is very impressive until you realize that there's a such thing as a "silky anteater." When the hell do we get one of those?
