Sandy recovery

Yesterday Mayor de Blasio announced that he would immediately reallocate $100 million in federal aid to save and revamp the Build It Back program.

$648 million in federal aid that has been allocated for the city for housing recovery has languished in bureaucracy.

Up to 9,300 single-family homes and 12,970 multi-family homes will receive $350 and $250 million respectively to "restore their homes, implement resiliency measures and remediate mold."
