Hours after President Trump signed an executive order reviving the Dakota Access and Keystone oil pipelines, hundreds rushed to Columbus Circle to scream and march in protest.

The orders allow the White House to renegotiate the pipelines.

"The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and all of Indian Country will be forever grateful to the Obama administration for this historic decision."

The imbalance of power surrounding the NoDAPL movement is obvious. America's legacy of destroying Native life is undeniable. And still, the emotion encountered most at Standing Rock is one of hope, built on human trust, holy traditions, and the vigor that comes from battling injustice.

New Yorkers joined tens of thousands of protesters across the globe in support of Native Americans and environmentalists opposed to the North Dakota Access Pipeline.
