What's this? Hockey starts this weekend? Should we care? As a refresher, here are some answers to some important questions about the shortened season, and the state of the Rangers.

After 113 days of no hat tricks or penalty boxes, the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players' Association have finally worked out an agreement to end the NHL lockout.

UWUA Local 1-2 spokesman John Melia told Reuters, "Nothing has changed. Things are still grim."

Con Ed announced it had reduced the power voltage around most of Brooklyn—"This is what we have been saying all along, that the company would run into these problems when the weather heats up."

A Con Ed manager was injured while filling in for a locked-out union worker, and the union promises more employees will get hurt, if not killed.

"They have placed their customers and the public at great peril," union spokesman John Melia warns.

Call it a Christmas Miracle, or whatever happens when people realize that sticking to their principles costs billions of dollars.

The players union and owners are meeting again to try to save basketball this season.
