Robert Nelson, the president of Nelson Management Group, delivered the news himself during a tenants town hall on Tuesday.

Including tenants, victims of domestic violence, targets of predatory lending, people facing discrimination, and disabled children.

"We are the biggest city in the country to level the playing field between tenants and landlords in housing court," said Mayor Bill de Blasio.

It seems that some of de Blasio's big anti-homelessness spending is paying off.

The current cost is estimated at nearly $1 billion, up from $604 million eight years ago.
