After a six-year hiatus, the death-themed museum has returned with a monthly bazaar in Industry City.

The CEO of Industry City said it had become "clear that the current political environment and a lack of leadership precludes a path forward for our rezoning proposal."

Typically, such opposition would mean the powerful Industry City developers would have little recourse, because the City Council almost always defers to the local lawmaker on land use votes. Not this time.

Gentrification fears drove much of the opposition to the project, along with those who wanted to see the waterfront reimagined for green manufacturing and a blue collar workforce.

Twice delayed already, the rezoning seeks to develop more than 1 million square feet on the 35-acre, 16-building property.

New menu items include three new tacos and a Pastrami Sandwich.

The meeting was cut short after protesters jeered during Menchaca’s slideshow presentation and he walked off the stage.

My favorite item was probably The Renegade, a burger made from mushrooms and beets, with a traditional array of toppings like tomatoes, pickles, and red onion.
