Police had been called to a home in Stafford Township around 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning due to reports of a gas leak.

Police were already on the scene for a domestic call.

The couple is struggling to pay for their son's burial.

A bereft father said of his 18-month-old son, "He was my heart. I'm grieving my son. It's hard. We're trying to get through this together."

"I saw a lady cop running with a baby screaming, 'I got a baby. I got a baby.'"
