Mental health professionals provide insight into how medical workers have struggled — and coped — during the pandemic so far, and what types of services they might need moving forward.

A federal judge granted a temporary restraining order Tuesday preventing New York from enforcing its COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers, just days before the requirement is due to take effect.

NewYork-Presbyterian became the first hospital system in the state to require COVID-19 shots for employees. Local unions are not pleased.

"This is an extreme that is really unacceptable, and I feel like my basic human rights have been violated," Hickox said. "To put me through this emotional and physical stress is completely unacceptable."

The health care worker has written a first person piece detailing her treatment there: "This is not a situation I would wish on anyone, and I am scared for those who will follow me."
