Two public school students have lost their fingertips in eerily similar door accidents this week. Bad luck, or some sort of "Sliding Doors" syndrome?

A Queens student is more than a bit upset after he lost his fingertip due to a metal cafeteria door at school: "There was blood everywhere. I looked at it, and the top was gone."
