Driver Dave Lewis will be sentenced on October 22nd, and he now faces up to 30 days in jail.

The trial of a bus driver who caused the first Citi Bike fatality will continue into next month.

The video contradicts initial reports that the cyclist, Dan Hanegby, swerved into the bus driver's path.

"It's incredibly insulting to the lives and legacies of those people who were killed on their bikes."

The Manhattan DA is offering the driver a plea deal that involves no jail time and a six month license suspension.

"If two people got killed by stray bullets or Legionnaires' disease, the whole city would descend on the area and something would get done," one attendee predicted.

To date, the city has not responded with a crackdown plan.

Surveillance footage from a West 26th Street building appears to contradict preliminary NYPD statements and media reports.

"Cyclists aren't killed when they have infrastructure that meets their needs," Transportation Alternatives Executive Director Paul Steely White said Tuesday.
