Clean Slate law

The law is the latest in a series of criminal justice reforms in the state since Democrats took control of the state Senate in 2019.

The Senate says it will pass the bill Wednesday, but its future in the Assembly is unclear.

The bill would be the most sweeping of its kind nationwide.
