A nonprofit-run workforce development program is helping to give people with criminal records a second chance.

The move overrides Lyft’s plan to install speedometers and underscores the growing influence of Deputy Mayor Randy Mastro.

New fees are kicking in for members and non-members alike.

Lyft, the parent company, said it didn’t factor in some changes to costs when it set rates in December.

The bikeshare service says the higher prices will help fund station upgrades and new electric bikes.

Bike and dock maintenance and rebalancing moves have declined, a new report from Comptroller Brad Lander finds.

Lyft, which owns Citi Bike, said the increases were caused by supply chain problems and booming shipping costs.

According to a police spokesperson, the incident happened on Sunday around 10:30 p.m. at the Steinway Street station in Astoria.

Cyclists took more than 630,000 rides on Citi Bike last week, smashing an all time record for the eight-year-old bike share program.

"This is a big step toward continuing to grow Citi Bike’s role as a truly regional bike share program that meets the first- and last-mile commute needs of New Jersey residents, who often have bikeshare transportation needs on both sides of the Hudson."
