Until recently, people vaccinated overseas and anyone given shots authorized outside the U.S. weren’t eligible to get boosters — even if they were high risk.

The strain was found in Colorado on Tuesday.

The state is expecting additional allocations of the Pfizer vaccine, as well as the Moderna vaccine, later in the month or in early January as well.
