First Lady Michelle Obama was on the Late Show with David Letterman and discussed a number of topics, from her father's struggle with MS to Bo, the adorable First Dog. Letterman pressed her about private chats with the President as well, "Now, you don’t have to answer this question, but this is the thing that I was thinking about. I have conversations with my wife. Paul has conversations with his wife. Married men and women have conversations all the time… Hypothetically speaking, at the end of the day, has your husband ever come home and said to you, ‘Oh, that John Boehner -- what an idiot’?"

The First Lady responded dryly, "It has never happened, never, never. He is always upbeat, particularly about Congress."

When Letterman asked her if the family's Portuguese water dog was loopy, she replied, "He's a very sweet dog," and very "even-tempered," and also lets everyone know when he needs to do his business.

Of her secret trip to a Target, Obama was worried her cover was blown when another shopper said, "Can I ask you something?" It turned out, the lady said, "Can you reach on that shelf and grab me the detergent?"

You can watch the entire show here. And after taping the show, the First Lady went to a fundraiser at the Greenwich Hotel, whose attendees included host Robert DeNiro, Beyoncé, Star Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Angela Bassett, Harvey Weinstein, Gayle King and Ben Stiller.
