Either because it wouldn't be a presidential campaign without at least a little 9/11 or because his 2008 flameout was so awesome to watch, CNBC's Larry Kudlow asked former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani if he'd run for president in 2012. Giuliani said, "I will take a look at 2012. It’s really a question of, can I play a useful role? Would I have a chance of getting the nomination? Those are things that I’ll have to evaluate as the year goes along."
But when Kudlow asked again if the door was open, Giuliani confirmed, "Yes, yes absolutely." (MSNBC points out that Rudy spent over $65 million in 2008 and managed to get one delegate.) See "America's Mayor" in this video—the 2012 comments come at the 12 minute mark:
