What does a superstar basketball player do after leading his team to a commanding victory over possible playoff rivals? Why, if you're Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade, you get dressed up in your finest suit to go sock shopping, and end up playing a game of pick-up basketball with some unsuspecting children! Check out the TMZ video below.
After the Heat beat the Knicks 93-85 at the Garden Sunday afternoon, Wade hung out with Anna Wintour according to the Post. Obviously inspired (or shamed) by whatever daring combination she wore to MSG, he headed to Soho to buy socks with his stylist. After concluding his emergency sock run, Wade spotted a group of teenagers playing ball and nonchalantly joined in for about 15 minutes.
For those of you not familiar with sports, this is the equivalent of catching Bruce Springsteen busking. As Wade says in the video: "this is not a commercial, this is real life." It probably wasn't a commercial when thousands of New Yorkers booed Wade at Sunday night's Yankees game—but at least we can be assured he was wearing fashionable socks at the time.
