A wall at a construction site in Queens collapsed this morning while workers were underneath it. Initial reports indicate a two-story concrete wall at a site on Van Loon Street between Queens Boulevard and Green Avenue came down while three workers were working below. The workers have all been retrieved since, though at least one appears to be in serious condition. A fire also broke out in the ceiling of the building, but has been brought under control. Update: NY1 is now reporting that four people were injured in the accident and that one of them was pronounced dead upon arrival at Elmhurst Hospital. The others are reportedly in stable condition.
