The man who was arrested this week for allegedly trying to rape a woman in an elevator in Stuyvesant Town has now been charged with sexually assaulting two other women. Juan Scott, 26, has been hit with a barrage of charges from three different complaints, including sex abuse, attempted rape and burglary. In addition to the incident over the weekend, he's also being charged with assaults against women in September and June.

Scott, who is the cousin of actress Rosario Dawson and resides in the East Village squat where she grew up, was arrested after "following a 20-year-old woman into her apartment building, into an elevator (and then) brutally and violently sexually assaulting that female," according to Assistant District Attorney Brendan Tracy. Video released by the NYPD shows Scott leering at the woman in the elevator before he tried to rape her; it also shows him fleeing the scene after climbing down a tree. (He reportedly climbed up in the tree and hid there for a while after exiting the building.)

According to a criminal complaint, Scott allegedly forced himself onto a former girlfriend, then sexually abused her in her home Sept. 21st; the News says he sent her dozens of "menacing" texts threatening her after she filed a complaint with police, including one text that read, "he was going to kill himself if she did not drop the charges."

Scott has also been charged for an incident on June 2nd in which he allegedly followed a woman into her E. 11th St. building, pulled up her dress, and grabbed her. "There is also surveillance video from that incident as well as positive identification from a lineup...There is a great deal of evidence against this defendant," Tracy added.

Various residents of Scott's apartment building on E. 13th Street told The Villager that Scott had been working as a delivery boy and paying rent to his father, who owns the building. At least one person told them he has some "boundary issues" with women. "He pushes himself on women,” the tenant said.
