After we learned that a ticket to the National 9/11 Museum would cost $24, it immediately joined the "Overpriced, but why?!" category of NYC attractions, next to the 86th Floor Observatory Deck of the Empire State Building and the Top of the Rock. Luckily, there's a brief reprieve for the budget-savvy (read: New Yorkers): on opening day, you won't have to a pay a dime to get in.

The temporary reduction of the fee is a gift from Conde Nast, who will be moving their HQ from 4 Times Square to One World Trade Center in the coming months. Take it as an apology for that Kimye spread in Vogue. You will also be able to enter free of charge on Tuesdays between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Family members of victims, rescue workers, and children under 6, all enter for free.

The museum, located seven stories below Ground Zero, will officially open to the public on May 21st after a week-long dedication for the families of the victims.

Advance reservations are available at 911memorial.org. If you plan on going this summer, should probably make those now.
