The Dalai Lama was in town yesterday, accompanied by BFF (...literally?) Richard Gere at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine. Approximately 2,250 people, including stars Liev Schrieber, Naomi Watts, and Judy Collins, turned up Sunday to hear the Dalai Lama talk about religious tolerance and spirituality.

It was the climax of a four-day NYC tour, that included stops at Radio City Music Hall and Hunter College. Hunter student Annie Su was sufficiently impressed: "When he walked in, I was in awe. Maybe it sounds corny, but I had tears in my eyes. He's adorable."
