A terrifying out-of-control driver in the Bronx was caught on video plowing into pedestrians, injuring at least seven people, yesterday.

A police spokesperson said the incident happened around noon on Wednesday at the intersection of Jerome Avenue and East Fordham Road. Driver Kevin Crosby, 43, was heading east on Jerome when he allegedly sped through the intersection on Fordham Road, hitting several pedestrians and cyclists in the process. He crashed into a parked SUV, which then careened into a coffee cart on the sidewalk.

Police say seven people were injured altogether, including the driver; several people sustained abrasions and contusions, and all were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Crosby, who lives in the Bronx, has been arrested and charged with aggravated vehicular assault, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

The city has recorded more than 440 complaints of drag racing since New York went into PAUSE on March 22nd, according to 311 data; that's more than four times the number of complaints compared to the same time period last year.

At least seven cyclists have been fatally struck by drivers in the city so far in 2020, which is lower than that of 2019 in the same time period.
