A 16-year-old girl was arrested yesterday in connection with a violent fight in a Brooklyn McDonald's that left one teenager seriously injured.
The teen, Aniah Ferguson, has been charged with robbery and gang assault stemming from Saturday's incident, in which a group of four teenaged girls allegedly beat up an 18-year-old inside the Flatbush Ave establishment.
Police say Ferguson was caught on video stomping on the victim's head, and believe she was the one who orchestrated the attack.
Ferguson is also accused of stealing the victim's cell phone and purse.
The teen reportedly has a long rap sheet, with prior arrests including one for allegedly stabbing her brother and another for assaulting her grandmother. "This is a sick child — and she really, really needs help,” one neighbor told the Daily News. “She’s been in jail, they release her. She’s been in jail, they release her. She’s been in jail, they release her. Why are you releasing her?”
The victim, who the Daily News has identified as 18-year-old Ariana Taylor, reportedly did not cooperate with police and did not want to press charges, making the NYPD's investigation more difficult. Authorities believe that all involved teenagers were students at nearby Erasmus Hall High School, and cops say they've identified the rest of the suspects.
