Police say that a man was killed in Queens Village this morning—and it appears the victim was a retired correction officer. Two off-duty, active correction officers are now being questioned.
According to the NYPD, cops responded to a call about a man who was shot at 4:30 a.m. on 108th Avenue, between 226th and 227th Streets. They found the victim, a 46-year-old man, shot in the chest. He was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
WABC 7 reports, "Sources tell Eyewitness News the 46-year-old man was shot and killed during some form of a dispute with two other active off-duty officers... Sources say police are questioning the male and female officers, who are in custody at the scene."
