We've mentioned it a few times already, but here's another warning: The MTA is shutting down the 1, 2, and 3 lines below 34th Street, Monday through Friday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. While some of you might complain, the MTA will use the time to make needed repairs.

Here's what the MTA says:

The MTA also says that during last month's FASTTRACK of the 4, 5, and 6, "work crews were able to accomplish 300 tasks including repairing platforms, scraping peeling paint and applying fresh coats, installing new lighting, cleaning tracks, repairing defects and conducting critical inspections of signals and switches. In four nights, we were able to accomplish what would have normally taken two months to complete."
