Considering the details that have come out of the "cannibal cop" case thus far—that accused cannibal cop Gilberto Valle wanted to eat "girl meat" for Thanksgiving, for instance, or that he wanted to butcher and eat his own wife—it comes as no surprise that lawyers were looking for jurors with strong stomachs. And yesterday, prospective jurors were put to the test, filling out a questionnaire and looking at graphic photos to assess their comfort with sexual, sexually violent and sexually deviant conduct."

Around 87 people participated in the jury selection process, where they were asked a series of questions about sexual fetish websites regarding necrophilia, sexual asphyxiation, genital mutilation, rape fantasies, bondage and sadomasochism. Prospective jurors were also shown several "shocking" photos that were representative of some of the images they might see during the trial, since Valle's accused of keeping a pretty heft collection of "cannibalism porn" on his computer.

And how, you may ask, did these prospective jurors handle all this flesh-food porn and suggestions of sexual deviancy? A few described the images and information as "extremely disturbing," and said they wouldn't be able to stomach the trial. "Anything that relates to the subjugation of women is abhorrent to me. Sorry, can’t serve."" one prospective juror wrote on the questionnaire. "Too wicked, cannibalism, too perverted," wrote another. Guess you don't have to get too creative to get out of this call to jury duty.
