A quick-thinking vet managed to save Percy the porcupine from almost certain death after the 4-year-old Big Apple Circus member collapsed from low blood sugar! Percy was found collapsed in his pen on Monday, and Dr. David Bessler quickly determined he was suffering from hypoglycemia. Bessler told the Post, "It took a few minutes to figure out how to approach him. Each quill could literally poke through a person."

Percy was eventually equipped with a lampshade collar while the doctor took a bone marrow sample. After it was determined that he had low blood sugar, the doctor employed the quick fix of rubbing honey on Percy's gums. And here we thought you needed to take your shirt off and lie on the floor with another woman to properly treat low blood sugar! Thankfully, Percy has recovered and can now make his debut at the BAC, where he will "open a prop door with his mouth." Which is totally worth the $15.
