Three women have been attacked by the same suspect in Park Slope, police say.
The incidents occurred last week, near Fifth Avenue and 16th Street in Brooklyn. NBC New York reports that on July 21, "a 26-year-old woman was walking on 16th Street when the man approached from behind, pushed her against a parked car and choked her. The woman struggled and screamed, and the man ran off."
A 34-year-old woman was approached, reportedly on July 24 around 4 a.m., when she was opening the door to her apartment building and "claimed to live there." From WCBS 2:
Elba Alvarez, the victim’s neighbor, said she was woken up by the woman’s screams.
“She was opening the door and the guy was behind her right here, and she knew he doesn’t live here,” Alvarez said.
Police said the suspect then exposed himself and shoved the woman into the foyer.
“I’m scared now to go out,” Alvarez said. “I used to walk my dog. Now I’m afraid to do it late.”
A third woman was also choked. The NYPD's public information office didn't have the formal details of the incidents because it's waiting for the detective to relay the information.
Fliers of the suspect, describing him as about 20 years old, 6 feet tall, and 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, have been posted in the neighborhood.
