Police are still investigating the death of Bronx woman Tina Adovasi, who went missing over a week ago, but many believe they already know who is to blame: former NYPD housing cop, and her ex-husband, Eddy Coello. "We know who did it—he did it. We're working on the chain of evidence and connecting all the dots," a police source told the Post.
Coello, who has a history of domestic incidents, met with investigators this week, but refused to give a DNA sample. His ex described her terrifying three-year-long abusive relationship with him, which included multiple beatings and threats on her life. Adovasio, who has four children, was found off the Taconic Parkway on Wednesday by kids riding ATVs in the area; an autopsy found she had been strangled and suffered blunt-force trauma to her head and chest.
One of her children from her previous marriage, Michael, turned 11 on Friday, and it sounds like it was completely heartbreaking: "What makes me really sad is my birthday is Friday, and my mom always makes my birthday special," he sobbed to a teacher at his Bronx school. His teachers and fellow fifth-graders threw him a party, and all got him gifts to try to take his mind off all the terrible things going on.
