Three men have been arrested after cops seized 300 pounds of marijuana that was delivered to a West Village residence yesterday.
It all went down at around 1:20 p.m. at 144 Bleecker Street. According to cops, three men were allegedly in the process of unloading a 150-pound crate labeled "art" from a van outside the address when they were intercepted by police. There was apparently another crate in the van containing another 150 pounds of weed—labeled "auto parts"—addressed to another location.
Cops arrested Patrick Johnson, a 46-year-old man who lives at 144 Bleecker Street, along with 27-year-old Matthew Parrigo and 27-year-old Christopher Bender, both of Staten Island. They have all been charged with criminal possession of marijuana.
The weed is worth about $1 million when sold in small bags, and is sourced from California. It is currently located in an NYPD storage area, and will likely be dispassionately incinerated after any trial—unless you think this was all a HUGE misunderstanding, and would like to stop by and claim the product as your own.
