According to the NYPD, 22-year-old Jaquan Roberts was involved in the shooting, which followed the pandemonium at the opening of the casino's New Orleans themed daiquiri bar called Fat Tuesdays.

Police say that Roberts has a prior arrest for shooting himself in the right leg with a .22 caliber revolver in 2010.

Hundreds of people were involved in the fight, and several were injured, though an NYPD releases states that no gunshot victims related to the incident were found in any local hospitals.

Police say that after firing several shots, Roberts fled in a grey 2001 Acura; detectives identified the owner of the car, and "a computer check of the building where the auto is registered to yielded two people who have been arrested in the past," a release states.

The driver's license photos of those suspects, along with the surveillance footage, were taken to the NYPD's Real Time Crime Center Facial Recognition Unit. "Detectives from the Facial Recognition Unit then identified the suspect as 22-year-old Jaquan Roberts," the release states.

An NYPD spokesman said he could not elaborate on this last step.

[UPDATE] Police arrested Roberts, but the Queens DA declined to prosecute him.
