Police are looking for a man accused of robbing women in three different incidents in Queens this month. And in all the incidents, he either had a box cutter or a sharp object with which he threatened to cut the victim.
According to the NYPD, the incidents have occurred in the 102 and 112 Precincts, which cover Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill East, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven, part of Ozone Park, Forest Hills and Rego Park. On February 11, at 12:30 a.m., a woman was walking on Lefferts Boulevard when a man pushed her up against a fence at Metropolitan Avenue. He allegedly displayed the box cutter and fled with her purse.
On February 12, at 11:45 p.m., a woman walking along Continental Avenue near Dartmouth Street when the suspect got out of a dark-colored four-door sedan. He grabbed her in a bear hug, police say, and then threatened to cut her. He then took her purse and got into an unknown dark-colored four-door sedan.
On February 19, at 1:45 a.m., a woman walking past 71-25 Austin Street was grabbed by the suspect, who put her in a bear hug. According to the NYPD, "The suspect pressed an unknown sharp object against the victim's hand and removed her purse. The suspect fled in an unknown dark colored four door sedan."
