New York City weather promises to deliver all treats and no tricks this Halloween night — though ghouls and goblins may want to bring a jacket.

While the sun will shine over spooky daytime activities, some clouds and a haunting chill will creep in later on, according to the National Weather Service.

“Temperatures will be in the upper 40s as you start trick-or-treating,” said meteorologist Jim Connolly. “And as it gets dark tonight, temperatures will fall down into the mid-40s.”

Though the sudden drop might feel scary compared to the unusually warm temperatures of last Saturday, the crisp air puts NYC back in a normal range for this time of year.

With promised clear skies, the region will avoid the most fearsome of all Halloween frights: rain.

Connolly said a chance of showers could return tomorrow, with a possibility of sprinkles throughout the day and temperatures in the 50s.
