Congratulations, America! You're having less sex than almost anyone else! According to the Durex Sexual Wellbeing Global Survey, Americans get it on less often than most, with only 53% having regular, weekly action (and with only 44% actually reporting being satisfied with their sex lives).
In fact, the average American gets it on only slightly more often than the Japanese who were at the bottom of the list. Greeks preferred to be on top with 87% of survey takers reporting weekly nookie, followed by close runner-ups, Brazil, Russia, and China. Some think that long work hours are to blame for our nation's lack of lovin'.
Another interesting fact: Apparently Austrians are the "world's most experienced lovers - Austrian men have had 29 sexual partners and Austrian women 17" while the least are the Chinese (four sexual partners for men and two for women).
Last year, the NY magazine had six New Yorkers write "sex diaries," which seem to suggest the Durex findings are accurate. And the Museum of Sex on Fifth Avenue has an exhibit Sex in Design/Design in Sex.
