Aspiring model Gypsy Porfirio admitted she "blacked out" before running over a teacher and his girlfriend who were jogging in Staten Island on Tuesday. The 34-year-old allegedly told cops she took two Xanax, one Ambien, and a Percocet about an hour before the collision, which left 23-year-old Daniel Kelley in "extremely critical" condition, the Daily News reports. "I blacked out at the wheel. I can't believe I hit a person."

Investigators also recovered 60 more pain- and anti-anxiety-pills tucked into her waistband and boots at the scene of the crash. Kelley suffered severe head trauma and chest trauma, while his 18-year-old girlfriend Gina Siclari remains hospitalized with head injuries, and a broken leg and ankle. According to the Advance, Porfirio has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance — though her lawyer maintains all of the pills were obtained through legal prescriptions. "These charges are very serious," a prosecutor told the judge. "One of the victims is more than likely to not survive."

As she left Staten Island Criminal Court yesterday, Porfirio — who says she has worked as a face and hair model in Israel and Italy on the casting website Star Now — reportedly said: "I'm sorry!" She is being held on $150,000 bail, and is due back in court on Jan 11. There's video of Porfirio being walked into the 120th Precinct, which is the same precinct from which a suspect escaped as he was being lead to his arraignment yesterday.
