A Queens man was arrested for marijuana possession in New Hyde Park allegedly became violent after a police confrontation, biting one officer and kicking another. Isn't pot supposed to mellow you out? Officers were called to Arturo Salazar's house in Queens Village on reports of a fight, and found 15 small bags of marijuana in his car. Salazar became violent while in custody, hitting the windows with his head and fists and eventually biting one officer in the elbow and hands. The officer was treated at a local hospital, and Salazar was arraigned on multiple charges, including assault and obstruction of government administration.
