The man who holds the world record for light bulb eating has been arrested and accused of robbing 11 banks throughout NYC in the last two months. Robert Williams (aka RJ Williams), 22, has been charged with hitting the 11 banks, including three Brooklyn banks in a half hour period Friday afternoon. He was caught after returning to one of the banks he hit on Friday—the Apple Bank at 1321 Kings Highway—again yesterday. Williams was recognized by employees, and quickly apprehended by police, though it wasn't as quick as the 33.86 seconds it took Williams to eat a light bulb last winter. Watch video below!
Police say that Williams, who lives on the Upper West Side, confessed to hitting another eight banks in the city besides those three since April 23. He made off with nearly $14,000 from the bank heists, including four others in Brooklyn, two in Manhattan, and one each in Queens and The Bronx. He has now been charged in all 11 robberies. The doorman of the building he grew up in told the Post Williams "long fancied himself a magician."
