As police attempt to square Levi Aron's written confession with the evidence they're collecting from his home, Aron's attorney believed that his client has a "disorder" that would lead him to kidnap a 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky, suffocate him, and dismember his body. "I can't tell you what the nature of the disorder is," Bazile tells FOX 5, "but it's hard to believe that somebody who committed an act like that wouldn't have a disorder." It appears that Bazile will pursue an insanity defense.

Aron is currently undergoing a psychiatric evaluation at Bellevue Hospital, and last week Bazile told the judge at his arraignment that Aron "hears voices and suffers from hallucinations." Authorities seemed shocked that Aron, without any prior criminal record, would commit such a heinous crime: "You don't kidnap a kid for the first time, tie him up in your house, leave, go to work, then come back and kill him then," a source close to the police told the Daily News.

Bazile claims that he hasn't reviewed his client's written and video confessions, saying, "The police and authorities have leaked them to the press…I haven't seen them…I expect to shortly." Aron's indictment is expected to come down later this week.
