Former Giants great Lawrence Taylor pleaded guilty today to two misdemeanor counts, but avoided jail time completely. Back in May, the Hall of Fame linebacker was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl, which gave way to a bizarre series of excuses and defenses, and left Taylor's reputation in shambles. He later admitted in court to paying $300 to have sex with the young woman, but claimed she told him she was 19. Taylor, 51, pled guilty to patronizing a prostitute and sexual misconduct in exchange for six months probation. Taylor will have to register as a sex offender; we imagine he will be much less quippy during the hearing in March to determine the level of his sex offender status.
