- Yankees 12 Kansas City 6: A 2-1/2 hour rain delay put an early end to Phil Hughes’ day, but the Yankees’ bullpen did enough to preserve the win. A-Rod didn’t homer, but he had three RBI’s while Mark Teixeira continued his on base streak with two more hits. The Yankees finish their homestand with a 6-3 record and now head onto Cleveland.
- LA 1 Mets 0: Once again a single run sent the Mets to defeat. The Dodgers scored on a two-out double in the eighth to take the series 3-1. New York had a good opportunity in the sixth inning, but Jose Reyes was picked off after a leadoff single and David Wright and Carlos Beltran couldn’t’ get Luis Castillo home from second with one out.
