The Mets took the rubber game of their series with the A's and finished their homestand at 3-3, thanks to a 4-1 victory on Thursday. Chris Capuano struck out seven and allowed only five hits in six innings, but he was forced to leave the game because of "precautionary reasons". Jose Reyes had two hits and two RBI's while Daniel Murphy added 3 hits and a RBI. K-Rod finished things off with a 1-2-3 9th for his 20th save of the year.
The Liberty jumped out to an early lead and survived a rocky third quarter to beat Tulsa 94-82. Kia Vaughn and Cappie Pondexter each recorded a double-double for New York.
