Mets 2 Milwaukee 1: Chris Capuano beat his former team with six innings of one-run ball. But, Capuano's efforts would have been wasted without Jose Reyes's two-run triple in the 7th, the only scoring for the Mets all night. The bullpen made it stand up with Beato, Istringhausen and K-Rod each contributing a perfect inning of relief.
Boston 6 Yankees 4: Freddy Garcia had his worst start as a Yankee and the offense couldn't take advantage of several opportunities as the Yankees fell to 1-6 against Boston this year. Garcia was lifted in the second with the bases loaded and four runs already on the scoreboard. The Yankees' bullpen did a solid job, allowing only two runs the rest of the way, but the New York bats couldn't mount a serious threat. The Yankees got the tying run to the plate in the ninth, but A-Rod struck out to end the game.
