Nearly 18 months after her husband was sentenced to 30 to 60 years for sexually abusing young boys, Jerry Sandusky's wife is speaking out about the scandal. Dottie Sandusky decided to blame the victims, telling the Today Show, "I think it was, they were manipulated, and they saw money. Once lawyers came into the case, they said there was money."

She also maintained her husband, the former Penn State assistant coach convicted of 45 of 48 counts of child sex abuse, was innocent, "I definitely believe him. Because if I didn't believe him, when I testified at trial, I could have not said what I said. I would have had to tell the truth." Someone else who testified: Penn State assistant coach Mike McQuery who said he saw Sandusky raping a boy in a shower at the Penn State locker room. When Today's Matt Lauer asked her about the allegations, she said, "I don't believe that. I believe he showered with kids. That’s the generation that Jerry grew up in....There were always people coming in and out no matter what time that was.”

Jerry Sandusky previously gave a jailhouse interview with Today last year. Daily Intel points out, "Facilitating both appearances — and conducting the Jerry Sandusky interview himself for the network — was the conservative talk-radio host turned aspiring documentarian John Ziegler, the man behind Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted and Blocking the Path to 9/11.... Although neither Sandusky nor Ziegler provide any new evidence to undermine the court’s findings, NBC continues to offer them airtime to spread their delusions."

Dottie Sandusky said of one claim that a victim screamed while being abused in her basement: "I was here. I will take you downstairs and let you see the basement. It is not a dungeon. It is not what those kids said. You can scream, and you can hear it up to the second floor."

The couple is fighting to get Jerry Sandusky's $4,900/month Penn State pension restored.
