Early this morning FIPS posted this shot of a Porsche in Manhattan with a license plate reading "RCESSION". Douche move, but FIPS seems to think that this is absolute proof that Brooklyn is superior to Manhattan. They write that Manhattan is "starting feeling more like Long Island every day. Above, another timely reminder to file in my 'why Park Slope doesn't suck as much as Manhattan' folder. No matter how bad BK gets, the city will always, always, always outdo(uche) us." Well, let's think about this for a moment:

Firstly, just because this car has New York plates and is parked in Manhattan doesn't mean that the owner lives in Manhattan—he could be from anywhere in the state, even Brooklyn, and we're guessing if you own a Porsche and live in Manhattan you can probably pay for a garage. And even if he is from Manhattan, is one stupid vanity plate really any worse than babies in bars, nannies in food coops and anger toward vegan ballet slippers? Douchebaggery does not discriminate between boroughs.
