Today has been quite an emotional roller coaster for taxi riders. We were just sharpening on our e-hail app dueling pistols (sorry, but that's what they're called) for a dramatic Uber versus Hailo face off when we saw that an Appellate judge issued an emergency injunction blocking the e-hail program. Again.

According to the Post, the order will give appellate judges time to review last week's Manhattan Supreme Court ruling, in which a lawsuit from the black car industry claiming that e-hails for yellow cabs were unfair was dismissed.

The order promises an “expedited review” of the city’s plans, Randy Mastro, who represents livery cab and black car companies opposed to the e-hail program, told the paper.

We've reached out to Uber and Hailo for comment, and will update the story when we hear back.
