Traffic on the FDR Drive ground to a "standstill" on Monday night after a dog broke loose from its owner and darted onto the busy six lane highway near the Manhattan Bridge.
NYPD Sergeant Carlos Nieves told told WABC 7 that when he "went to investigate" why traffic was stopped, he "found a man chasing a dog on the highway who was weaving in and out of cars."

Thankfully, the dog's owner was found, and the NYPD's 5th Precinct brought her to see her dear doge:
The owner had reportedly been in the pedestrian pathway next to the FDR when Daiki, who was leashed, broke away.
