A couple of coyotes are terrorizing a New Jersey family with their incessant howling after taking up residence in their backyard.

Liora Sofer said the noisy guests arrived around three days ago, squatting rent-free in an unused dog house in her backyard. They tend to take off early in the morning, but not before keeping Sofer and her daughter awake throughout the night with their haunting howls.

"One time I even thought it was my mom screaming," Sofer's 15-year-old daughter, Maayan, told NBC New York. "It's so loud it sounds like shrieking noises. It's really scary."

Sofer called the cops in hopes they could evict the noisy creatures, to no avail. Sofer has said she will hire a private contractor to rid herself of the beasts if they continue to haunt her backyard. At press time, it doesn't seem as if anyone has just thought of... removing the dog house.
