An off-duty Correction Officer was arrested in Queens yesterday, because he allegedly tried to rape a 13-year-old girl on Sunday afternoon.
Robert Bradley, 42, was charged with first-degree attempted rape, first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to a criminal complaint, Bradley allegedly took the victim to his bedroom and pulled down her jeans and underwear before smacking her on the buttocks and thrusting his "erect penis" against her vagina. Bradley is accused of telling the victim, "Your vagina is tight, I don't want to ruin you for your husband."
PIX 11 reports that the victim is the daughter of Bradley's girlfriend and the girl told her guidance counselor on Monday.
According to the Daily News, "Bradley is an 11-year Department of Correction veteran who earned more than $124,000 shuffling prisoners in between jail cells at Rikers Island." He has been suspended without pay.
"The vast majority of Department of Correction staff perform their duties with the highest level of integrity and Commissioner Ponte has zero tolerance for those who don't," a spokesperson for the Correction Department said.
