A subway conductor was attacked while on the job, police say.
According to the NYPD, it happened at 6:25 a.m. on Saturday, November 29 (Thanksgiving weekend): A Q train conductor, a 31-year-old male, "was operating the train at the Dekalb Avenue station when the suspect walked up to him and struck [him] in the face." The conductor refused medical attention.
The suspect, who fled the scene, is described as a 30 to 40-year-old Hispanic male, 5'6" tall with black hair. Police released surveillance images of him.
Anyone with information in regards to this assault is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
Earlier this month, the NYPD asked for the public's help in finding a man who attacked a subway conductor, who was giving information about subway disruptions at a Bronx subway station. It turns out the alleged attacker was an off-duty cop.
