Police arrested two teens this week for the stabbing of a special needs Bronx teenager outside of the P12/Lewis and Clark School in East Tremont. Negro Rivera, 16, was jumped outside the school by Allassane Keita, 15, and Tyrone Graves, 16; they stabbed him with a pair of scissors, allegedly in retaliation for a fight earlier that week. But according to the teen who held the scissors to Rivera, they only meant to scare him, not actually kill him.
According to court papers, Keita was the stabber, but he didn't mean to hurt him: "I took the scissors and held it up...but only to scare him. I swung the scissors...and the scissors cut him in the neck." The P12/Lewis and Clark School is designated for students with "emotional disturbances," or as one former P12 teacher put it, it's "a 'dumping ground' for students with real Mental Health issues." Graves was let go, but Keita now faces attempted murder, felony assault and weapons possession.
